As President of SCEA, I can honestly tell you that we did not sell anywhere near that amount. In fact, only 10,000 PS3 units were sold in all of 2009. The fact that nobody likes our $400 paperweight doesn't surprise me, the Microsoft Xbox 360 has so many better games, and is much more affordable. This year is not looking much better, so far White Knight Chronicles and MAG have both bombed and Mass Effect 2 is already expected to win game of the year! Wow you are really mis-informed there my friend. After a little bit of research i found out that uncharted 2 must be played at its native 720p setting because the ps3 cannot handle 1080p. And yes, i have a 1080p samsung plasma which looks freakin sweet. uncharted 2 looks good but it cannot run at 1080p at 120 fps like ken kutaragi said it would.
i also own both consoles.
Good call, all those are going to be excellent games. the only thing i might disagree with is purchasing heavy rain. seems like more of a rental type of game to me. it doesnt have any multiplayer, and as great as the single player may be, i dont think it will be very long in length.

when i play uncharted 2 i cannot seem to get the display to 1080p. i have tried adjusting the settings and it automatically goes to 720p every time. my 360 upconverts games to 1080p why cant my ps3 do this? what am i doing wrong?

I completely agree that Steam has been great for the PC games market, even if it didn't really need "saving". Since steam came out I have bought tons of PC games, almost all of them on sale. My PC has become my primary gaming destination. My PS3 sat there collecting dust all year except when Infamous and Uncharted 2 were released.
